Rose & Grapefruit Sparkler
A bright, citrus-forward sparkler with fresh grapefruit, balanced sweetness, and a delicate floral rose finish.
Ingredients:
• 1.5 oz (45 ml) Anchored Spirits American Gin
• 1 oz (30 ml) fresh grapefruit juice
• 0.25 oz (7 ml) rose syrup
• 0.25 oz (7 ml) lemon juice
• Sparkling wine, chilled, to top
• Grapefruit twist or wheel (garnish)
Rose Syrup
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup water
• 1–2 tbsp dried culinary rose petals or 1 tsp rose water
Combine sugar and water and bring to a gentle simmer. Add rose petals, remove from heat, and steep 10–15 minutes. Strain and cool completely before use. If using rose water, add after cooling and adjust to taste.
Instructions:
1. Chill
Chill the serving glass and ensure sparkling wine is well chilled.
2. Combine base
Add Anchored Spirits American Gin, grapefruit juice, lemon juice, and rose syrup to a mixing vessel with ice.
3. Stir
Stir gently until chilled and properly diluted without aeration.
4. Strain
Strain the chilled base into the serving glass, leaving room for sparkling.
5. Finish
Top with chilled sparkling wine and gently lift once to integrate. Garnish with a grapefruit twist or wheel.
